Assist with the development and execution of the annual audit planPlan and perform internal audits for areas of potential concern with respect to risk on a project by project basisEvaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Esri’s internal control environmentPerform review of work papers, reports, and other audit deliverables ensuring quality, accuracy, and achievement of audit objectivesPrepare process flow documentation and identification of risk points for processes under reviewPlan, coordinate, and perform internal audits, including the development of the audit program and creation of the internal audit issues and reportsPerform financial and operational audits of organizational and functional activities in order to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and determine compliance with plans, policies, and procedures prescribed by management; accuracy of financial information; proper accountability and safeguarding of company assets; and efficient utilization of resourcesMaintain comprehensive working papers to support and substantiate audit observationsAssist in the development of the internal audit department’s procedures, practices, and trainingAnalyze data and provide recommended process improvementsSupport issue remediation with control owners to ensure risks are appropriately addressedPerform financial reviews of fraud investigations and company acquisition or disposition activitiesAssist with regulatory compliance and financial audits as necessaryRequirements
Bachelor's with an emphasis in Accounting and 8 years of experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience, with emphasis on financial and accounting applications and financial and operational controls; or a Masters in Accounting and 6 years experience as outlinedCPA, CIA, CISA or other related certificationStrong mathematical and analytical skills and proficiency using common analytical tools (ACL/Galvanize, Arbutus, IDEA)Ability to create and analyze a process flowchart to identify both internal control weaknesses and areas for process improvementStrong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills working with all levels of managementDemonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver to deadlines and multiple work assignments simultaneously while consistently producing high quality workAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentRecommended Qualifications
